Just found out how screwed ive been.

Sooo i looked over my phone bill and checked my current net bill which is 24.99 a month.

So i called them and asked what i was paying for. well they said oh your paying for 1.5mb/s.

i think "OH REALLY"....calmly "Then why is my download speed capped at 180kb/s". Well i get take to this test site. and it shows my dl speed of 1.5mb/s and an upload of 300kb/s. soo i go well this doesnt look right (im half drunk). and this is where right after i said "you greedy fucks" and hung up the phone..so she says get ready for this....

so im paying for shit internet. but i found a way to access my rotuer and turn on my UPNP settings so ill have a better experience in-game. But FML....and the funny thing she also said "oh sir you can pay 5 bucks more a month to double your speed. and im just thinking...you son of a...WOW 300KB/S WOOP DEE FCKN DOO!

Where I come from - Bulgaria (google it), net speed is nearly never a problem. Especialy in the bigger citys.

For 25$/month I can get a steady speed of 3 megabytes per second working bothways (uploading or downloading). On top of that I have no restrictions of domains or sites and unlimited trafic... I never had a high ping while playing in Bulgaria...

On university connection the highest dl speed I get from speedtest.net was like 70MB/s (though it has been reported to go near 100MB/s). Depends on the time of day though.

I recently changed to an optic fibre connection. For that price, here in Portugal, i got this:

Which means, i can download at a maximum speed of 4MB/s and upload at 375 KB/s.

My internet provider haves this optic fibre packages. Mines the lower. The maximum it's 1 Gb for both download and upload values (you could download something at 125 MB/s! whicked xD), but for that, u have to pay something like $260 per month. We don't have download limit, traffic shapping, or nothing like that.

lol they do the same thing to you in south africa and the funnier thing about that country is when u phone in to find out whats going on the person who answers the phone is to stupid to know the difference between bits and bytes lol

Ironically I don't have that much time to take advantage of my dl speed.

I pay for the good stuff. I have about 8 - 10 MB/sec. Down. And about 3 - 4 up. I had crappy internet years agao and I just won't settle for that anymore.

Call your internet service provider. Same thing happened to me. They have to either replace your phone jack or outside line, or add a new DSL like (which they did for me). its a bad connection within the wires.

we've called them so many times over problems that its not even funny... they never do anything. Plus its not up to me its up to my dad and he never downloads anything so he doesnt care

Yeah isp are fucking cheap as shit, i thought i would get faster, ive called em time to time again, and they only say this: take your speedtest.net result and devide it by 8 , that should equal your actual speed transfer, its stupid like shit, lol but w.e
